![]() ![]() While continuing to make waves both on Broadway ("Six Degrees of Separation" "Long Day's Journey Into the Night") and Off ("Punk Rock" "Close Up Space"), by the late 2000s Minifie began fattening up her acting resume by also appearing in films and TV shows. She eventually caught the attention of the YoungArts Foundation, which was established to help nurture the talents of emerging high school artists, and was awarded one of the foundation's highly sought after scholarships. She began acting professionally at the young age of 11 and by 13 had made her Broadway debut in Martin McDonagh's dark comedy "The Pillowman." More theatrical roles followed, thus allowing Minifie's to hone her fledgling acting craft on a consistent basis. Acting, however, was where Colby Minifie's true passion was.
